A delicious blend made with whole crushed spices, roots and a blend of organic black teas. Adaptogens, make this a MEGA chai blend.
Did you know that 'chai' translates to the word 'tea'? In Hindi a common Ayurvedic drink is known as 'masala chai' or 'spiced tea'. It is drank as a digestive boost and overall addition to a healthy lifestyle. Spiced tea is made with wholemilk or coconut milk and cane sugar.
Flavour: This tea is nutty, very aromatic and spicy. The spices have a hearty flavour, feel warm and provide a slight zip and sweetness.
8oz jar has ~35g for lighter teas - up to ~50g for heavier teas.
1/2tsp is a serving size for single tea cup, 1tsp for a large mug.
The 8oz jar has over 70 1/2 tsp servings!
Steep 2-5mins.

HOW TO MAKE A CHAi DECOCTION:
To make a traditional chai- bring a pot to boil. Once boiled, add chai, and reduce to simmer for 5-15 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea. Store in the fridge as chai concentrate.
To make milky chai, heat the concentrate and add whole milk & cane sugar, heat slowly to reduce the milk but not burn it. Then remove from heat and let steep for 3-5 minutes, you will smell sweet spices and it is ready to be served!
Alternatively, use with a mesh strainer, compostable tea sachet, or tea press. Boil water and allow for it settle. Place loose tea into vesicle and cover with boiled water. Allow for it to steep 2-5 minutes with a lid to trap the essential oils. Strain and enjoy!
Organic Plants:
Sourced from organic Canadian suppliers and local farmers and largely from the Nature IS Health garden- where we do not spray any chemicals. I harvest the plants, air dry them and process them into infused herbal oils that we then add into our products, or add them into tea blends, or decorate our soaps/gift boxes.
