Creating the NIH GARDEN
Introducing the creation of our sustainable ingredient garden at our urban residence in Hamilton, Ontario. This reel captures photos over seven years of nurturing the Nature IS Health vision through the changing seasons. Our mission: to live wild and connect Nature IS Health viewers and our beloved customers to the beautiful Southern Ontario land. More progress on this journey to come!

About Nature IS Health

We are a Canadian company offering "hair2toe" all-natural products handcrafted by co-owners, husband & wife duo, Brian & Samantha. Along with our product line, Nature IS Health aims to inspire. "Our Guide to a Sustainable Home."

  • We prioritize Canadian ingredients, local farms and small producers. The fair-trade and organic industry is important to us!

  • Our goal is to connect our customers with the Southern Ontario environment by growing and wildcrafting as many herbal ingredients as possible.

  • NIH product packaging is recycleable and ideally re-useable.

  • The Nature is Health product line began with herbal infused oils and pasture raised tallow and lard soap. In our community, our soaps are recognizable by our muffin cup shape!

How we started making soap...

Were you aware that soap-making was a typical activity among homesteaders? Rather than relying on exotic oils brought from far-off lands, a surplus of fat from animal resources produced candles, soaps, and balms.

Our story began when Brian began working at the local farm and butcher shop. One day, we decided to repurpose extra fat to minimize waste. Aside from making homemade lard and tallow for cooking, we found a handbook on how to make traditional soap.

No traditional civilization survives by wasting their resources; every part of animals, plants, and the Earth is utilized or we do not deserve to harvest it in the first place.

Hair2toe

We began making soap. We were getting in touch with the reality of the circle of life, reducing waste, and best of all, the soap was the best soap we had ever used! It glided over skin, disappeared scars, moisturized, cleared acne, and for the first time, we didn't need lotions.

Our soap and product line quickly gained the slogan "HAIR2TOE," because Nature IS Health products are multiuse!
