BREATHE EZ
A useful tea to have in your first aid cupboard. This blend can be brewed for tea, or simmered on the stove, as the steam will soothe clogged airways (please see directions on the right).
In herbal medicine 'anticatarrhals' are plants known to eliminate and counteract the formation of mucus. To help move that buildup, 'expectorants' will assist to expel mucus from the lungs and throat.
Ingredient Highlights:
- Eucalyptus leaf is a natural antiseptic, thus inhaling and drinking tea when congested with sickness, helps to remove buildup and combat illness. Eucalyptus is widely known to be beneficial for respiratory complaints.
- Great mullein is used for cough, lung and bronchial congestion, irritated throat and even ear aches. Mullein is an expectorant and demulcent, meaning it soothes and coats irritated membranes, while helping to remove the blockage.
- Echinacea is used for acute inflammatory conditions, both internal imbalance, and wounds, bites, eruptions and boils. Echinacea is researched for both its antibacterial and antiviral abilities.
- Rosehip, the fruit of the rose plant, is often included in skincare and immune boosting blends due to vitamin C and antioxidant content.
- Ginger root is a herbal stimulant, meaning it boosts the ability of other herbs taken with it due to its beneficial action to our digestive system and circulation.
Flavour- neutral with a background zip.
8oz jar has ~35g for lighter teas - up to ~50g for heavier teas.
1/2tsp is a serving size for single tea cup, 1tsp for a large mug.

How to Use:
Use with a mesh strainer, compostable tea sachet, or tea press.
Boil water and allow for it settle. Place loose tea into vesicle and cover with boiled water. Allow for it to steep 2-5 minutes with a lid to trap the essential oils. Strain and enjoy!
Topically to Clear Congestion:
Use a wide mouth pot, bring water to gentle simmer and add 1-2 tsp of tea blend. Remove from heat, lean over the pot and gently inhale the steam. You can use a towel to direct the steam into your face. Be careful to not get too close! When the steam has run out, bring the pot back to simmer and repeat the process. The leftover liquid can be used as a tea or on a cloth as a compress for the chest and/or forehead.
