There are multiple ways to brew tea like this- a stronger tea that contains both soft herb, stems, roots and mushroom. Choose an option that suits your flavour preference and allows for plant extraction to take place.

Use with a mesh strainer, compostable tea sachet, or tea press. Boil water and allow for it settle. Place loose tea into vesicle and cover with boiled water. Allow for it to steep 2-5 minutes with a lid to trap the essential oils. Strain and enjoy!

A long steep, like overnight will get more out of the roots with less exposure to heat then the following option..

The decoction: place the tea into a saucepan and simmer for 5-15 minutes. A decoction on the stove is a great way to extract resins and deeper notes from heartier herbs like roots, stems and dried shrooms.

  • Ingredient Sourcing:

Sourced from organic Canadian suppliers and local farmers and largely from the Nature IS Health garden- where we do not spray any chemicals. I harvest the plants, air dry them and process them into infused herbal oils that we then add into our products, or add them into tea blends, or decorate our soaps/gift boxes.
