The perfect cookie dough cookies!
The perfect cookie dough cookies!

This recipe is for the ultimate GIANT cookiedough-like chocolate chip cookies.. or you can reduce the oven temperature and make smaller, delicious, chewy cookies.

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cup Canadian all purpose flour - I often use half all purpose/half spelt

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp Canadian corn starch - no GMO, even better!

  • Dash of sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup softened butter- 227g

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup white sugar

  • 2 medium pastured eggs

Cream the wet ingredients until light in colour, I use a fork and then a whisk. I sometimes pre-melt the butter, but if you do this, you have to whisk it really quick with the sugar until it becomes thick and light in colour, then add the eggs and vanilla.

Whisk the dry ingredients together.

Combine the wet and dry, adding the dry into the wet.

Stir in 1-1.5 cups of chocolate chips. Option to chill the dough before baking, for a chewier center, I often skip this step due to lack of time!

Scoop out balls of dough onto silicone lined trays (or parchment). Lightly press the balls to ensure center bakes through.

This makes 8-12 giant cookies, 4, 5 or 6 cookies per sheet @350F - 13-15 minutes. Another option is to do 12 cookies at 325F for 20 minutes.

Carefully move cookies from tray to a wire rack to COMPLETELY set.

These cookies need to set BEFORE you eat them, at least 15 minutes! It's tough, but you must control yourself! XP

Thanks so much for reading, all the best from one cookie monster to another!
